A 2006 Cornell University study confirms previous observations from 2005 but in much stronger terms due to the high disease pressure of 2006 and the increased focus of this study on disease observations. The Lawn & Turf products seemed to offer significant disease suppression that could translate into a 50 to 75 percent reduction in fungicide.

Professional Turf FAQ's
Can I use the LC in my fertigation system?
The LC is less than 10% solids and works in sprinkler and drip irrigation systems.
If I apply the LC with my irrigation, will it affect my ornamental plantings?
It will work great and is safe for both turf and ornamentals.
How soon will I see results using the LC?
The LC will be effective in about 7 days however results will be not be visibly apparent until after the second or third application depending on soil quality..
How long does it take for the 6-0-0 to show green up and how long will it last?
The result is very fast because the Lysine is readily available for foliar and root intake. When blended with the LC it will continue to provide color and disease suppression for up to 8 to 10 weeks.
Do I need to water in the LC or the 6-0-0?
It is not necessary to water these products in immediately.
On what turfgrasses are Converted Organics’ designed to be used?
All of Converted Organics’ products are completely safe and effective for all turfgrasses including both, warm season or cool season grasses. So regardless of whether you are managing residential lawns of Kentucky bluegrass in the north, seashore paspalum in the Caribbean, creeping bentgrass greens on a golf course, or a bermudagrass sports field in the desert southwest, Converted Organics has the right products and the right solutions for you.
I’m currently using another organic granular. What makes Converted Organics so much better?
All of Converted Organics’ products, liquid or granular, are derived from food waste. Because we do not use bio-solids, manures or kelp products, our fertilizers are completely organic, environmentally responsible and demonstrably more effective for all turfgrass applications.
Our products are made from fruits and vegetables, eggs and dairy, cereals and grains, meat and fish. This great diversity provides humic and fulvic acids as well as carbohydrates, antioxidants, cytokinins, gibberellins and auxins. Our products help you to create healthier soils and healthier plants. This translates into a significant increase in disease suppression, especially Dollar Spot, Cool- and Warm-Season Brown Patch, and Anthracnose. No other organic fertilizer can do as much.
What are the sizes that are currently available for the LC 1-1-1 and the 6-0-0?
Initially the thinking was that we'd bring only two sizes to the market (2x2.5 cases and 275-gallon totes). Both sizes have their limitations - the 2x2.5's are impractical when the product is used in a scheduled program application. The 275-gallon totes are too big and heavy for many shops to manage. To answer that, we're offering 55-gallon drums. Since most courses have pumps, the 55-gallon drum size seems a lot more practical. So you know, 4 drums will fit on a pallet...
How will the LC 1-1-1 help my program given that there is limited nutrient value?
The advantage of adding in the LC 1-1-1 is threefold. First, it provides humic and fulvic acids as well as carbohydrates, antioxidants, cytokinins, gibberellins and auxins. Secondly, by creating healthier soils, you're creating healthier plants. This has been translated into a significant increase in disease suppression relative to Dollar Spot, Cool- and Warm-Season Brown Patch, and Anthracnose. Lastly, the LC is a complimentary product that will ultimately enhance your current synthetic fertilizer performance in terms of duration and color response.
What are Converted Organics suggested application rates?
Addressing the LC 1-1-1 first, the recommendation is to start out the season with a single application of 30 oz./1000 ft2 (or 10 gallons/acre) and then follow that with 10 to 15 oz./1000 ft2 (or 5 gallons/acre) every 7-14 days. These additional applications can be made in the course of your normal foliar feeding or spray program. As for the 6-0-0, our recommendation is to base your application on the amount of nitrogen you are wanting to apply. The Lysine amino acid nitrogen source is perfect for anyone looking to apply 1/10 all the way up to 1/4 pound of nitrogen in a foliar application.
A note of caution, to-date we have found no compatibility issues with any of our liquid products - pesticides, growth regulators or wetting agents/surfactants. However, we strongly recommend that you do your own jar testing prior to any tank mixing.
